Experience & Skills Required

• 3D Modeling using Catia V5
• DMU space investigations and installation
• Able to work with 2D drawings
• Ability to understand information with the customer and development partners
• Discuss organizational matters with the client
• knowledge of trains or rolling stock environment
• Min 5 years experience using Catia V5
• pro-active approach to problem solving & able to work in a team environment

Education Required:

• Degree Qualified engineer with mechanical or electrical engineering
• HNC/D or similar

Hours: 45 hours per week

• Generate 3D design concepts as required and perform studies using Catia v5
• Perform studies to benchmark and evaluate competing design proposals.
• Optimize existing designs and products for improved performance.
• Create drawings and apply GD&T, Critical and Significant Characteristics.
• Develop knowledge and expertise in the areas of design engineering in the organisation.
• Maybe required to generate BOM's, maintain open issues lists, and other engineering documents.
• Prepare engineering documents, and coordinate with customer, suppliers, and assembly plants.
• Proficient in design and development of structures
• Ability to assist in the development, assignment, prioritization and implementation of projects and programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently as well as work in a team environment.
• Strong theoretical and practical experience in design and testing.
• High analytical ability for solving difficult or unusual problems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• German Language an advantage
