Fatigue and Damage Composites Expert

Our client a large international supplier to the aerospace industry requires a fatigue & damage tolerance engineer to support a new composites project.

Software:

Nasgro / Patran analysis experience, Nastran, Patran, Hypermesh

Tasks:
• Good experience with hand calculations & FEA analysis using Nastran / Patran
• A minimum of 5-10 years experience in stress FEA analysis preferably with aircraft experience.
• Ability to work effectively with in a team
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Excellent communication skills / Computer literate / organisational skills
• Hand calculations, Interpretation of design drawings
• Finite Element model generation and analysis
• Knowledge in static, non linear & linear analysis
• General computer skills for analysis and report writing (VBA).

Key Duties/Responsibilities

• FEA fatigue analysis using CAE / Hand Calc methods & software

• Consult with clients, suppliers & management

• Attend customer meetings & training sessions when required

• Ability to communicate at a high level with senior managers

• FEA analysis presentations & report writing

A minimum of 5 years experience in composite manufacturing processes would be advantageous.

Languages:

English

German not essential

Hours: 40/45 hours dependent on project requirements

Duration: 6 Months ++

Travel:

International travel will be required
