Job Title: Program Manager Automotive Seating  m/f  

An excellent opportunity exists for a program manager to join one of our clients projects in Stuttgart.

You should have previous experience in program/project management & have strong design experience with knowledge of foams,hides,textiles & interior trim. 

Responsible for the overall management & development of a new seating program for a prestigious OEM. You will be required to manage engineering changes, customer and supplier related issues, service parts, warranty issues/ improvement and overall program delivery. 


 Represent the design development team in a professional way to the end client.  Motivate the team to meet commitments & timing.  Motivate & build team technically and personally through mentoring and coaching.  Resolve conflicts between design and manufacture. Negotiate with internal and external groups, vendors and customer.  Ability to identify the root cause of a problem, develop corrective action and find resolution.

Act as the focal point to ensure that each team member is aware of their deliverables and timing commitments.  Create agenda, schedule meetings and keep meetings on track.  Provide key information to all relevant individuals.

Provide manufacturing input for new quotations for the design of the manufacturing process and coordination of new launches.

Specific Tasks:

·         Ensure all tasks assigned to manufacturing on the development are completed.

·         Represent manufacturing throughout the development process. Review product, routing, major issues, best practices, etc. – communicate information to the manufacturing team.

·         Provide the key point of contact for manufacturing and the interface with all other cross functional groups

·         Represent manufacturing in all launch phases in accordance with LPMP process.

·         Ensure all Profile deliverables assigned to manufacturing are completed on time and meet the specific deliverable requirements.

·         Implement new launch processes to fulfil LPMP requirements.

·         Continuous improvement of all launch processes utilizing lessons learned including feedback of improvements into COP/BOP.

·         Ensure plant adherence to all new product specifications and processes during all launch phases.

·         Represent manufacturing in all MGR’s

·         Resolution of any product or process issues identified during the QR1 Capability phase.

·         Facilitating the handover of all new products to Manufacturing via the QR2 Launch Handover process.

·         Coordination of the implementation of engineering changes and ensuring manufacturing readiness for on time implantation within the plant.


·         Must be fluent in English & German

·         Bachelor of Science in Engineering; 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with proven ability to organize and complete R&R studies

·         Experience in plant personnel planning and supplier interaction

·         Knowledge of MS Office program and ISO/TS 16949

·         Knowledge of production processes and specific customer requirements for entrusted duties

·         Ability to interpret statistical analysis (capability studies)

·         Must display strong customer focus, ability to cooperate, readiness for constant development, professional/technical knowledge, and ability to work under time pressure, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
