Job Title: Stress FEM Analysis Engineer

Full Time Contract opportunity

An excellent opportunity exists for a Stress Engineer with sound experience
in the aerospace industry. Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer is
offering an excellent opportunity to work on the design of a new passenger
aircraft.

Rates dependent on experience.

Objectives

Software experience: Nastran Patran
Hand calculations

You will be required to work in a project based team covering the whole life
cycle of the project from conceptual design through to detail design and
analysis. Project durations are typically long term up to 12 months.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

• FEA analysis using CAE methods & software

• Consult with clients, suppliers & management

• Attend customer meetings & training sessions when required

• Ability to communicate at a high level with senior managers and Directors

Qualifications

MSC / Degree / Diploma / HND

Experience Required

Good experience in the area composite design and analysis
Ability to work effectively with in a team
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Excellent communication skills / Computer literate / organisational skills
Hand calculations, Interpretation of design drawings
Finite Element model generation and analysis
Knowledge in non linear & linear analysis with composite structures would
be a distinct advantage.

Finite Element analysis using MSC NASTRAN, MSC PATRAN
General computer skills for analysis and report writing.

Experience Preferred

Aerospace composites industry experience is desirable with an
understanding of lightweight structures.
An understanding of structures & light weight materials is highly desirable.

Knowledge of Aerospace procedures
A minimum of 5-10 years experience in stress FEA analysis & hand
calculations.

Language Skills

English

Personality

Competent in their field of expertise & can work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements
Presentable and medically fit

Travel

Maybe required for training or meetings with clients.
Foreign travel may be required.
